French Tutoring

Elizabeth offers private French tuition to secondary school French students (both HSC and IB curricula) looking to building confidence, fluency and accuracy. 

Tuition usually takes the form of one-on-one weekly lessons of 1 hour’s duration (either in person or via zoom, in accordance with the student’s preference).

 

Elizabeth is familiar with the requirements of the HSC (continuers and extension) and IB curricula and will tailor a program to meet the student’s particular requirements, including: 

​

·       Building confidence and fluency in French conversation and oral skills;

·       Developing listening and reading comprehension skills;

·       Enriching vocabulary;

·       French grammar;

·       Writing skills.

Liz Frizell has tutored my Year 12 son for the last 4 years as well as my younger son who is in the early years of high school. 

 One of Liz’s many strengths as a French tutor is her ability to build a rapport with students of varying ages and stages of high school.  Her one on one lessons are tailored to the student’s interests, abilities and where they need to improve.  Liz creates a learning environment that builds the student’s confidence in their French conversation and she looks for ways to encourage the student to extend themselves in how they read, write, think and speak in French.  Liz has her finger on the pulse on how French is being taught at each high school stage and a great knowledge of the school syllabus/NESA requirements.
